Introducing PlumeStop™ Colloidal Biomatrix

New, Fast-Acting Remediation Technology Captures and Biodegrades Groundwater Contaminants

PlumeStop™ is a new, dispersible substrate, capable of rapidly capturing and dropping a range of groundwater contaminant concentrations in days to weeks, while effectively biodegrading them over time. Developed by REGENESIS, USA, PlumeStop allows remediation practitioners to achieve fast treatment of groundwater with a high degree of certainty that the contaminants are biologically degraded.

Pilot Study: Former Electronics Facility in Indiana

A recent case study documents performance at a former electronics facility where mixed chlorinated volatile organic compounds (cVOCs) in groundwater were treated to non-detect. The study lasted nine months:

  • By 1st Sampling Round – Two Weeks:
92% reduction in post-treatment solvent concentrations in groundwater.
  • By 2nd Sampling Round – One Month:
99% reduction in post-treatment solvent concentrations in groundwater.
  • By 3rd Sampling Round – Two Months:
9% reduction in post-treatment solvent concentrations in groundwater.
  • By 4th Sampling Round – Three Months:
No cVOCs were detected above analytical thresholds (<5µg/L).
